Bluesmoke Design Philosophy

4. Sites should be rich in content.

This might seem obvious. After all, what's the point in having a site if it's empty?

But a site with plenty of information on it also needs to be regularly updated, and whatever information is available needs to be easily locatable, and also needs to be capable of being used or manipulated easily.

What does this mean? Well, a list of products isn't much use to a web user if it can neither be printed (what happens if the list is displayed in white on a black background...?) or used as the basis for an online order. Methods for making use of information have to be carefully considered.

With a little forethought, a website can be turned into a valuable source of usable information.

After all, you want your site to be a resource that people will return to again and again.
